Spiritual battle is a reality that we should not ignore,whether we believe it or not,that doesn’t change the reality or the fact that there is a battle going on day and night in the spirit realm which the ordinary eyes cannot see.And every christian is a soldier and is required to stand ready for battle at all times, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ 2Tim.2:3.
The battle belongs to the Lord,but we are His armies. Our Lord won the war 2000 years,when He died and rose again,and said, all power is given unto me in heaven and in earth Matt.28:18. But He still expects us to stand in battle to the end and has given us all authority and power to do it.
Looking around us,the reality of the spiritual battle is evidently manifesting physically all around the world,the devil is raising his armies whom are going about killing,maiming and destroying lives and properties with recklessness and heartlessness.The rising of Islamic extremists (part of devil’s armies)i.e,al qaeda,al shaaba,ansar al sharia,hamas,taliban,boko haram in Middle-East,Asia,and Africa, must be stopped,so that it may not spread any further.Though some of us,are not surprise that these are happening,seeing that we are living in an imperfect world with an imperfect devil who hates God and mankind with perfect hatred.
But so surprised that we christians are still sleeping and slumbering in a delicate moment like this,where are the armies of the Lord,RISE UP, and fight. Our fight is not against flesh and blood,but rather to save lives of men and women,boys and girls,children and our young ones. And we should fight furiously and zealously for the glory of God.
There are two ways we can engage in this battle as armies of the Lord (there are more but I’ll only state two here).First is, through aggressive prayer,the power of prayer can never be underestimated, in the bible,we saw that prayer stopped the mouth of lions,the sun stood still as a result of prayer, prayer caused rain to fall after three and half years of drought, the dead brought back to life (even after four days),prayer spared a whole nation from extermination,prayer brought Peter out of a prison and time will fail me to go on and on. Prayer is powerful because we have a God who still answers prayers. Just imagine,if every christian could take the act of praying very seriously,how much trouble and damage we shall all do,to the kingdom of darkness and how we shall usher-in the great end-time revival and harvest of souls into God’s kingdom without delay. Where are the armies of God,RISE UP,watch and PRAY like never before.
And the other way we can engage in this battle is,through the preaching of the true gospel,not the washing washing, sugarcoated gospel but the true undiluted gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,for it is the power of God unto salvation Rom.1:16. If there’s one thing that the devil hates so much,it is the true gospel,for they(christians) overcame him (the devil)…. by the word of their testimony Rev.12:11b. Where are the armies of the Lord,RISE UP,spread and PREACH the true gospel with zeal and passion, to save and win souls into the Kingdom. Jesus said,Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost Matt.28:19.
