Something is happening as I’m writing this,God is moving again, awakening hearts.There is personal revival going on. There is an opportunity for true revival before us this season, for those who haven’t experienced it,may we seize and utilize this opportunity. Let us awake to the reality on the ground that nothing more than Holy Ghost true revival will change things around for the best, both in the church and the world.
Jesus had to wept over Jerusalem because their time of divine visitation came but sadly they missed it. So therefore if we don’t want our city,church or ourselves to miss what God is doing and wants to do,we have to wake-up and make use of the opportunity for revival that God is offering us shortly before Jesus comes back again to rapture His (bride) ‘wise virgins’.
If we fold our hands and do nothing,expecting the heavens to open its mouth and revival just fall down like that,I promise you we’ll have no revival till the world ends.The Isrealites would have remain in Babylon and passed the seventy years God said,if not that a man called Daniel was reading the book of Jeremiah,saw this promise of deliverance and laid hold of it through prayer and fasting. Thereby securing freedom for him and his people.
Shortly before Jesus ascended up to heaven,He told the early disciples to tarry in the Upper room and wait for the promise of the Father,afterwards they didn’t relax and fold their hands but they ‘continue with one accord in prayer and supplication…”Acts1:14, until the first great outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Thank God,I hear more people talking about revival,it’s good to talk about it,it’s good to preach it but it’s best to pray it down.Just like Prophet Elijah prayed down the rain after three and half years of drought (remember God had already said to him that He is sending rain),but yet this old saint had to pray for seven times before the rain came.So does God expects us to travail in prayer.
God expects us to pray,and for our prayers to be effective He wants us to humble ourselves and turn from our wicked ways. 2Chro.7:14.
